Application Developer (Business Intelligence)

As a data warehouse manager / specialist, you are responsible for the daily upload of the data to the data warehouse, the release of new and adapted functionalities and the conception and improvement of processes.

How you will make an impact

There are many ways for you to get involved:

In addition, you contribute to the design, development and extension of uploading processes in order to realise the desired data marts and external feeds. You develop, document and test them in order to yield the adequate output.

You compose test sets, you test the uploading processes that were developed and you check the data by executing SQL scripts.

You report to the stakeholders about the test results. You make improvements where necessary.

You constantly look for opportunities to increase your knowledge and to remain up to date about everything that’s going on within the IT department. Not only do you have knowledge of what's going on outside the organisation, you're always informed of any developments within the organisation.

What are your skills?

There are several ways for you to be a match for this position – these are a number of qualities we are looking for:

A bachelor's degree or 5 years’ working experiences as a Data warehouse manager and/or specialist

Affinity with the management of Data warehouses

Good general knowledge and ample experience with Informatica PowerCenter or similar ETL tools

Experience in creating, starting, monitoring and restoring workflows in Informatica or similar ETL tools

Knowledge of SQL & PL/SQL is a must

Experience with the configuration of Cognos and the management of users within Cognos is a plus

Experience with Cognos Analytics and Cognos Framework Manager is a plus

Knowledge of or experience with Amazon Web Services or similar cloud solutions is a plus
