Data Engineer / Data Warehouse Developer (m/f/d) - Aviation Analytics

For TUI InfoTec GmbH we are seeking with immediate effect a: Data Engineer / Data Warehouse Developer (m/f/d) - Aviation Analytics.



As a Data Engineer (m/f/d) you will support the Aviation Analytics division and make a significant contribution to data-driven decision-making processes in the airline environment of the TUI Group.


In concrete terms, this is what you will be doing:


  • Identify, record, manipulate and compile large, complex data sets that meet both functional and non-functional business requirements
  • Develop and maintain optimal data pipelines and data pipeline architectures
  • Build an infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a variety of data sources using SQL and AWS Big Data technologies
  • Develop analysis tools taking into account data pipelines with the aim of gaining meaningful insights into different business areas
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to support data-related technical issues and data infrastructures
  • Support Data Scientist and Analysis Experts (m/f/d) by developing and delivering data sets and data tools




  • University degree in computer science, statistics, business informatics or a comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics
  • Experience in building and optimizing large data pipelines, architectures and data sets
  • Expert knowledge and experience in handling relational databases, e.g. Oracle, DB2, Redshift, Snowflake, etc.
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, R
  • Experience in handling visualization, reporting and modeling tools such as Tableau or TIBCO Spotfire desirable
  • Strong analytical skills in handling structured, semi-structured and unstructured data sets
  • Fluent in English, basic knowledge of German advantageous (written and spoken)
  • Team player who enjoys working in cross-functional, dynamic teams
  • High level of customer orientation and quality awareness
