For TUI Group in Hanover we are seeking with immediate effect several: IT Systems, Release & Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

Our Digital Sales Platforms ensure that millions of customers can discover and book their dream holiday every day. From flights to hotels, from rental cars to excursions - all offers should be available anytime. Therefore we ensure that our reservation systems, caches, interfaces and websites work together in a stable and efficient way. Become part of TUI and support us in further developing our Digital Sales Platforms and keeping them running.  Specifically, your tasks will include:
  • Support, administrate and develop the IT infrastructure, systems and components of the TUI Digital Sales Platforms, if necessary also within the scope of on-call services
  • Automate recurring manual activities, analyses and reports
  • Assure quality and monitor the Digital Sales Platforms regarding defined KPIs, such as availability, data quality, loading times and file sizes as well as initiation of corrective measures
  • Collaborate closely with development and business teams regarding operational aspects of specific components (e.g. IT security, high availability, load behavior, logging, monitoring, alerting) as well as continuous delivery processes
  • Support, optimise and develop continuous delivery systems to enable releases of quality-assured software components
  • Network with relevant partners and interfaces for exchanging experience, quality optimisation and project cooperation
  • University degree in computer science, business informatics or a equivalent qualification
  • Professional experience in system architecture, IT system and network administration as well as in the development and operation of high-availability server and web applications, preferably in e-commerce or in the tourism industry
  • Programming knowledge in shell scripting and at least two other languages (e.g. Javascript/NodeJS, Ruby, Go)
  • Confident handling of cloud, container (docker, VMs) and virtualization technologies, ideally experience in Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting (e.g. based on the ELK stack, Prometheus, Nagios/Icinga) as well as in setting up and adapting improved monitoring solutions
  • Experience with agile working methods (Scrum, Kanban) desirable
  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
  • Independent way of working, curiosity and willingness to learn
  • High customer orientation combined with a strong awareness of results and quality
  • Flexibility and resilience in labour-intensive phases
  • Temporary willingness to travel, primarily between Hanover and Berlin
